    Position Summary

    \n

    The Career and Technical Education (CTE) Coordinator provides leadership, coordination, and oversight for the district's CTE programs. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, supporting high-quality instructional programs, managing career readiness initiatives, and collaborating with school leaders, teachers, business partners, and postsecondary institutions to prepare students for college and career success.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    \n
      \n
    • Provide leadership and oversight for all Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs.
    • \n
    • Ensure compliance with state and federal CTE requirements, Perkins funding, and reporting.
    • \n
    • Develop, implement, and evaluate CTE programming aligned with workforce needs and industry standards.
    • \n
    • Oversee implementation and management of career readiness platforms and assessments, including: \n

      • CTE Program of Study requirements
      • \n
      • THRIVE
      • \n
      • ACT WorkKeys
      • \n
      • iCEV
      • \n
      • Industry-Based Certifications (IBCs)
      • \n
    • \n
    • Monitor student progress toward credential attainment and career readiness goals.
    • \n
    • Collaborate with principals, counselors, teachers, and district leadership to expand and improve CTE opportunities.
    • \n
    • Analyze program data and prepare reports to support continuous improvement and accountability.
    • \n
    • Develop partnerships with business, industry, and postsecondary institutions to enhance student opportunities.
    • \n
    • Coordinate professional development for CTE staff and administrators.
    • \n
    • Manage budgets, grants, equipment purchases, and other resources supporting CTE programs.
    • \n
    • Support curriculum development and ensure instructional quality across all CTE pathways.
    • \n
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • \n
    \n

    Minimum Qualifications

    \n
      \n
    • Valid Educator's License (EDL) required.
    • \n
    • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Career and Technical Education (CTE).
    • \n
    • Experience with CTE programming and program administration.
    • \n
    • Experience managing or supporting Industry-Based Certifications (IBCs).
    • \n
    • Experience with THRIVE.
    • \n
    • Experience administering or coordinating ACT WorkKeys.
    • \n
    • Experience using iCEV for curriculum, credentialing, or student assessment.
    • \n
    • Experience in high school administration.
    • \n
    • Knowledge of state and federal CTE regulations and accountability requirements.
    • \n
    • Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and project management skills.
    • \n
    • Ability to build collaborative relationships with educators, business partners, and community stakeholders.
    • \n
    \n

    Preferred Qualifications

    \n
      \n
    • Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Career and Technical Education, or a related field.
    • \n
    • Administrative certification.
    • \n
    • Experience with Perkins grant management.
    • \n
    • Experience supervising staff.
    • \n
    • Experience leading district-level initiatives.
    • \n
    \n

    • Strong understanding of Career and Technical Education pathways and workforce development.

    • Knowledge of career readiness assessments and credentialing programs.
    • \n
    • Ability to analyze data to improve student outcomes.

    • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
    • \n
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining compliance with state and federal requirements.

    Working Conditions

    \n

    This position requires regular travel between district schools and occasional attendance at evening or weekend meetings, professional development, and community events.
