LHH is partnering with a construction company to identify a temporary to hire Billing Specialist for their team. You will be responsible for invoicing, lien waivers, and following up on payments. There are a variety of other accounting and administrative tasks that you will do in this job as well. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of accounting experience and will have high attention to detail. Since you will be following up with vendors and clients, professional customer service and communication skills are necessary. This position offers a quick interview process and is a fully in office role in downtown Seattle. Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and issue progress billings, time-and-material invoices, and contract-based billings in accordance with project agreements and construction schedules
  • Review subcontractor costs, change orders, lien releases, and other project documentation to ensure accurate and timely invoicing
  • Collaborate with project managers and accounting staff to track project budgets, billing milestones, retainage balances, and job cost allocations
  • Research and resolve client billing discrepancies, payment delays, and contract-related invoicing issues while maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging, follow up on outstanding invoices, and assist with collections to support healthy project cash flow
  • Support month-end close by reconciling billing records, retainage receivables, and project accounts while preparing construction billing and revenue reports
Qualifications:
  • AA or Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related field preferred
  • At least three years of billing, operations, or accounting experience
  • Experience working with ERP systems and accounting software such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact with customers, vendors, and internal departments
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
Pay Details: $32.00 to $34.00 per hour
