Job Description
The Estimating Manager will lead and develop a high-performing estimating team supporting complex construction, maintenance, and turnaround projects.

This role will play a critical part in driving bid accuracy, profitability, and operational alignment, while influencing key decisions at both the project and leadership levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of estimators to improve performance and productivity
  • Oversee the full estimating process from bid strategy through final proposal approval
  • Review and validate estimates to ensure accuracy, competitiveness, and compliance
  • Partner with operations, project controls, and sales teams to align bids with execution strategy
  • Utilize historical data and production metrics to develop accurate labor and cost models
  • Identify risks, opportunities, and value-engineering solutions during the bid process
  • Support client interactions, pre-bid meetings, and scope clarification discussions
  • Ensure all estimates align with safety, quality, and risk management standards
  • Drive continuous improvement of estimating tools, processes, and cost databases
  • Present estimates, pricing strategy, and margin analysis to senior leadership
Qualifications
  • 6+ years of estimating experience
  • Prior leadership or team management experience
  • Background in construction or industrial services
  • Strong understanding of project costing, productivity factors, and bid strategy
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, and project scope
Salary Range: $140,000-$170,000
