About the Role
A leading Florida heavy civil contractor is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee large-scale transportation and infrastructure projects. This role will manage projects from preconstruction through closeout while coordinating field teams, subcontractors, clients, and public agencies to ensure successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage heavy civil, roadway, and transportation projects through all phases
- Oversee schedules, budgets, forecasting, and cost controls
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel
- Manage manpower planning and resource allocation
- Review plans, specifications, contracts, and change orders
- Conduct site visits to monitor safety, quality, and progress
- Support estimating, takeoffs, and project planning efforts
- Maintain relationships with clients, consultants, and government agencies
- Deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Project Management experience in heavy civil, roadway, highway, transportation, or infrastructure construction
- Experience managing projects valued at $30M–$40M+
- Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and contracts
- Experience managing subcontractors, schedules, budgets, and project financials
- Direct DOT/FDOT project experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Estimating and takeoff experience
- Knowledge of EEO and public project compliance requirements
- Experience working with field operations and public agencies
- Familiarity with Florida transportation projects
Compensation: $150,000 - $175,000. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
