Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This role offers an opportunity to practice pharmacy in a focused long-term care and mail order environment. You will be working per diem on an evening shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, including every other weekend. The position is a 6-week contract and is based in Horsham, PA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately.
  • Monitor patient medication compliance and identify over-usage patterns.
  • Ensure medicine supply adheres to legal requirements.
  • Verify that prescribed medicines are suitable for patients.
  • Maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy documentation.
  • Educate patients on medication usage, possible reactions, and answer their questions.
  • Provide consultation on prescription and over-the-counter medications, including dosage, side effects, and interactions.
  • Deliver patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure checks, and cholesterol management.
  • Instruct patients on the appropriate use of medical devices like glucose meters and blood pressure monitors.
  • Compound medications for internal and external use following proper protocols.
  • Prepare sterile solutions in compliance with established procedures.
  • Supervise pharmacy personnel including technicians and clerks.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies.
  • Identify drug-related problems and communicate effectively with healthcare providers.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Licensed Pharmacist in Pennsylvania.
  • Pharmacy experience required.
  • Experience in long-term care and mail order pharmacy preferred.

Schedule:

  • Evenings, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Every other weekend required.
