Working from 7:45AM to 4PM, you’ll have the time needed to make a meaningful impact during this critical stage of early education.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification.
- Experience working with K-2 students or with Life Skills curriculum preferred.
- Strong classroom management and organizational abilities.
- Passion for nurturing children with diverse learning needs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with fellow educators and families.
- Ability to implement individualized instruction and adapt lesson plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging, age-appropriate Life Skills lessons tailored to each student’s IEP.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that empowers young learners.
- Monitor progress through assessments and adjust instruction as needed.
- Collaborate with general education staff, therapists, and families to support student success.
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings.
- Encourage independence and daily living skills in a nurturing and structured setting.
