What You’ll Need:
- Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience delivering individualized instruction and accommodations for students with diverse learning needs
- Deep understanding of IEPs, progress monitoring, and compliance with federal and state special education guidelines
- Strong communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and colleagues
- Adaptability and resourcefulness, with a commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized education plans for elementary students in a resource setting
- Work closely with general education teachers to provide accommodations and modifications
- Monitor, assess, and document student progress toward IEP goals
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and safe classroom culture
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians and participate in IEP meetings
