Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Direct Intervention: Provide individual and small-group therapy for students with diverse communication needs, including articulation disorders, language delays, pragmatics, ASD, and fluency.

• Assessments & IEPs: Conduct comprehensive evaluations, write compliant IEP goals, and lead progress reporting.

• Team Collaboration: Partner with special education staff, classroom teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success in the classroom.

• Case Management: Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation in alignment with state regulations and district procedures.

Caseload & Setting Highlights

• Target Populations: Opportunities range from K–5 Elementary settings to secondary placements.

• Typical Caseload Sizes: Manageable numbers (frequently averaging around 40–45 students depending on district and location).

• Focus Areas:

  • Articulation & Phonological Disorders

  • Expressive & Receptive Language Delays

  • Pragmatic / Social Language Deficits

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

  • Fluency & Developmental Delays

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Speech-Language Pathology / Communication Sciences & Disorders.

• Licensure: Active (or eligible to obtain) Minnesota SLP License.

• Certifications: ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.

• Experience: Previous school-based or pediatric clinical experience preferred, but adaptable clinicians with strong collaboration skills are encouraged to apply.
