Job Description
Minimum 1+ years Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist experience and ARRT certification required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Deliver high-quality care in a dynamic hospital environment as an Interventional Radiology Technologist specializing in Imaging. In this contract role, you’ll support critical diagnostic and treatment procedures, collaborating closely with physicians and clinical teams to improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients and equipment for diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures following strict safety protocols
- Operate advanced imaging equipment to assist in vascular and non-vascular interventions
- Monitor patient status during procedures, providing updates and responding quickly to changes
- Ensure accurate documentation and image archiving within hospital systems
- Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control policies throughout procedures
- Assist with patient positioning and post-procedure care, promoting comfort and safety
- Troubleshoot and maintain specialized radiology equipment as needed
- Communicate effectively with the care team to facilitate seamless patient experiences
Qualifications:
- ARRT certification (Radiologic Technologist) with current registration
- Valid state license as applicable
- At least one year of experience in interventional radiology or IR tech roles
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Strong knowledge of radiology equipment, safety, and procedural protocols
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow complex directions
- Effective communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare providers
