Step into an impactful, part-time opportunity supporting students across K-12 at multiple school sites in a dynamic educational setting. This contract position begins with professional development days on July 27, 2026, and continues through May 24, 2027, offering 29 hours per week with the option for some hybrid work. Your expertise as a School Psychologist will make a real difference as part of a multidisciplinary team committed to student success and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to identify individual student needs, and submit detailed, timely reports.
- Communicate assessment findings, recommendations, and eligibility considerations clearly to parents, teachers, and school teams.
- Participate in planning and implementing appropriate educational and behavioral interventions.
- Collaborate effectively with other professionals, including diagnosticians, social workers, speech-language pathologists, and administrators.
- Maintain accurate case records and documentation to ensure accountability and program continuity.
- Provide information, referrals, and ongoing support to students and their families.
- Participate in and sometimes lead in-service trainings and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Interpret test results and offer actionable insights for student programming.
Desired Experience & Skills:
- Valid Louisiana DOE School Psychology certification (required).
- Experience in psychoeducational evaluations, report writing, and IDEA compliance.
- Strong knowledge of special education eligibility and multidisciplinary team processes.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet strict evaluation timelines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for communicating findings in a supportive, professional manner.
