Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a school environment near Hartford, CT, from September 15, 2026, through October 27, 2026. Qualifications:
- Current and valid Connecticut Special Education Teacher license
- All certifications required for special education teaching in the state
- Previous experience working with students with diverse learning needs is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational abilities and the flexibility to adapt to changing student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small group instruction in accordance with students’ IEPs
- Collaborate with staff, families, and related service providers to ensure comprehensive student support
- Adapt curriculum and materials to meet student learning goals
- Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and required documentation
- Create a positive, encouraging classroom environment that fosters growth and independence
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and parent conferences as required
