Special Education Teacher - Hartford, CT

Qualifications:

• Current and valid Connecticut Special Education Teacher license
• All certifications required for special education teaching in the state
• Previous experience working with students with diverse learning needs is highly desirable
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational abilities and the flexibility to adapt to changing student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small group instruction in accordance with students’ IEPs
• Collaborate with staff, families, and related service providers to ensure comprehensive student support
• Adapt curriculum and materials to meet student learning goals
• Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and required documentation
• Create a positive, encouraging classroom environment that fosters growth and independence
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and parent conferences as required
