Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Active Louisiana Department of Education teaching certificate (Required: no TAT—must be fully licensed and ready to begin)
- Previous experience as a general education teacher in an elementary setting is desirable
- Ability to adapt to varying caseloads and school assignments as needed
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to successfully complete all background checks, including a district-specific drug screen and fingerprints
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction to elementary students across multiple subjects
- Foster an inclusive, positive, and safe classroom culture
- Create and implement lesson plans aligned with state academic standards
- Monitor student progress and communicate with families as needed
- Participate in faculty meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to maximize student achievement
