Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting a third-grade student one-on-one as a Sign Language Interpreter in a dynamic educational environment. This on-site position allows you to make a direct impact, utilizing your skills to foster access and inclusivity for a young learner throughout the academic year. The assignment will span from late August through early June, with consistent daytime hours that provide valuable work-life balance.

What We're Looking For:

• Minimum 4.0 score on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA)
• Proficiency as a Sign Language Interpreter working within school settings
• Experience supporting young learners, especially in a 1:1 capacity
• Valid credentialing in sign language interpretation
• Strong commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical interpreting practices

What You'll Be Doing:

• Providing dedicated 1:1 sign language interpretation services for a third-grade student during curricular and school activities
• Collaborating closely with classroom teachers, support staff, and school personnel to ensure full access to educational content
• Supporting student participation and fostering inclusion within the classroom
• Maintaining accurate records and adhering to all confidentiality protocols
• Maintaining professional boundaries and supporting the student’s autonomy and communication needs
