Drug Manufacturing Technician

The Screening Lab Technician I is responsible for preparing urine specimens for immunoassay testing in a high-volume laboratory environment. This role ensures specimens are accurately processed, labeled, and prepared while following standard operating procedures to support timely and accurate testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare (aliquot) urine specimens for laboratory testing.
• Receive, sort, and organize incoming specimens.
• Scan specimen bottles and verify data entered from requisition forms.
• Confirm specimen labeling and determine storage or additional testing requirements.
• Assist licensed laboratory personnel with screening tests following laboratory procedures.
• Read, understand, and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain accuracy and productivity in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to safely handle biological specimens.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

• Previous aliquoting or specimen processing experience.
• Experience using barcode scanners.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
