Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A key leadership role is available for an experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to support a growing pharmacy operation in Kennett Square, PA. This contract-to-hire position offers the opportunity to leverage your expertise in regulatory compliance, team leadership, and compounding pharmacy management in a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the legally designated PIC for all non-resident state pharmacy licenses unless otherwise assigned
  • Act as the primary liaison for Boards of Pharmacy, inspectors, auditors, and regulatory agencies
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of operational changes, ownership transfers, facility modifications, and PIC transitions
  • Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding operations with strong quality assurance and continuous improvement efforts
  • Supervise pharmacists, compounding supervisors, technicians, and production personnel, fostering a culture of compliance and excellence
  • Manage the creation, execution, review, and approval of daily batch records
  • Support production scheduling to maintain on-time delivery, accurate inventory, and effective capacity planning

Qualifications:

  • Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist License is required
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a PIC or Pharmacy Manager, with demonstrated leadership skills
  • In-depth knowledge of USP standards and relevant state and federal regulations for 503A compounding operations
  • Proven experience conducting audits and managing regulatory inspections, ensuring full compliance

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Flexibility to work Saturdays, if needed
