Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A home infusion pharmacy in Wayne, NJ, is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for a 12-week contract assignment. This role requires an active, unrestricted New Jersey pharmacist license along with an active California pharmacist license. The position supports pharmacy operations, compliance, and staff leadership within a busy home infusion setting.

Location: Wayne, NJ
Schedule:

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • No on-call duties

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws, Board of Pharmacy regulations, and DEA requirements, including sterile and hazardous drug compounding standards
  • Manage, train, and support development of a team composed of 7 pharmacy technicians and 4 pharmacists, working closely alongside the Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacy Coordinator
  • Review and approve patient care plans, ensuring medication therapy is appropriate, dosed accurately, and safe for administration
  • Maintain overall responsibility for pharmacy operations and regulatory compliance

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active and unrestricted NJ and CA pharmacist licenses mandatory
  • Prior experience as Pharmacist in Charge or managerial experience in pharmacy setting
  • Familiarity with sterile medication verification and compounding; IV compounding experience is preferred but not required
  • Local candidates only
