Play a vital role supporting K-12 students as a Special Education Teacher in a full-time contract position, working closely with learners across a broad spectrum of abilities and needs. Located in the heart of the Magic Valley, you’ll be an essential member of a dynamic special education team throughout the academic year.

Qualifications:

  • Current Idaho State Teaching Certificate
  • Idaho Exceptional Child Certificate (required)
  • Special Education endorsement (SPED endorsement)
  • Prior experience in resource or self-contained (ERC) settings preferred
  • Ability and willingness to assist with toileting and personal care as needed
  • Strong skills in collaboration and effective teamwork
  • Experience or comfort teaching students with mild, moderate, severe, and medically fragile needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction and differentiated support to K-12 students with a mix of disabilities and severity levels (more caseload details to come)
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state/federal regulations
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, families, and paraprofessionals for student success
  • Provide ongoing assessment, track student progress, and adjust plans accordingly
  • Employ evidence-based strategies to foster engagement and independence
