Qualifications & Required Experience:
- Active Special Education Teacher License for the state of Texas
- For middle school settings: Dual certification in EC-12 SPED and 4-8 Core
- For high school settings: Dual certification in EC-12 SPED and 7-12 Core
- Experience supporting students with varying abilities in classroom settings is highly valued
- Skilled in adapting curriculum, implementing IEPs, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Effective communication skills with students, families, and colleagues
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction tailored to individual student needs
- Develop, implement, and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Work collaboratively with general educators and support staff to ensure accommodations and modifications are met
- Monitor student progress, maintain records, and report on outcomes
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom climate
Your role is full-time, with 35–37.5 hours over five days per week, giving you the rhythm of a regular school schedule while enjoying professional autonomy.
