Job Description
Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist serving students from preschool through middle school levels near Sunnyvale, CA. This contract role begins August 11 and offers the chance to make a meaningful difference with a diverse caseload, supporting a district during a key period while colleagues are out on family leave. You’ll provide in-person therapy, serving as an essential member of a collaborative team.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- California state licensure (or eligibility)
- Previous experience in school settings working with PK-8 student populations preferred
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to various school environments and work independently
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy to students, primarily ages PK-5 or 6-8 depending on site assignment
- Manage a caseload not to exceed 55 students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) aligned with student needs
- Track progress and maintain thorough documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to foster student growth
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings and relevant professional development sessions
- Locations and specific student assignments will be determined based on district needs
