Job Description
Support student success as an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 academic year! This rewarding contract opportunity is available for a skilled SLP at a vibrant school district in the Kent, WA area. Collaborate within a dedicated educational community and make a difference for K–12 students while working a consistent weekly schedule.
This assignment runs from August 26, 2026, through June 16, 2027. As an SLP, you’ll have the chance to support up to 45 students across various grade levels, focusing on the evaluation, development, and implementation of individualized therapy plans. Your expertise will help students achieve greater communicative confidence and classroom success.
What’s Needed:
- Valid Washington SLP license and certification
- SLP-CCC credential (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Previous school-based SLP experience preferred
- Must have completed fingerprinting through OSPI
- Experience serving a K–12 caseload is highly desirable
- Commitment to onsite services (no remote options)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments
- Develop and deliver individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide evidence-based therapy sessions to students with varied speech and language needs
- Maintain accurate records and collaborate in multidisciplinary IEP meetings
- Partner with teachers, families, and other professionals to support student growth
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
