Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in California
  • Previous experience in a school environment preferred
  • Strong knowledge of best practices for OT in educational settings
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with teachers, families, and staff
  • Effective communicator who documents services and progress thoroughly
  • Enthusiasm for student-centered, individualized therapy plans

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students to determine occupational therapy needs and develop tailored treatment plans
  • Deliver direct in-person therapy services to support student participation, learning, and daily school activities
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to create strategies that promote student success
  • Maintain accurate records, write progress notes, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Consult with educational teams to adapt learning environments and recommend appropriate interventions
  • Provide support and recommendations for assistive devices or modifications as needed
