Occupational Therapist School Setting in Kent, WA

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state (or eligibility to obtain)
• Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Experience working in K-12 school settings preferred
• Knowledge of IEP process, documentation, and therapeutic techniques for school-aged children
• Ability to manage a caseload and adapt to the changing needs of diverse students
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students’ functional abilities and develop appropriate intervention plans
• Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services within the school setting
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal setting and reporting
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation for compliance with school and state guidelines
• Partner with teachers and other service providers to support classroom participation and student independence
• Provide resources and education for families to facilitate carryover of skills at home
