Expand your expertise as a Special Education Teacher with this onsite contract opportunity in the Rillito, AZ area. The upcoming school year features 5 openings across diverse programs, with student-centered support and professional development as a priority.
You’ll be engaged in student days running from July 29, 2026, through May 20, 2027. Teacher days—including a dedicated new teacher orientation—span July 20, 2026, to May 21, 2027, providing a thorough runway to connect and prepare with your colleagues. Each position is full-time at 37.5 hours per week, fostering consistent rapport with your assigned student group.
Openings include roles in an Elementary Behavior Program, Middle School Resource and Behavior Programs, a K-8 Behavior Program, and an Elementary Adaptive Program.
Requirements:
• Current Arizona Department of Education (DOE) Certification
• Active fingerprint card
• Previous experience or strong interest in special education teaching
• Proven classroom management and IEP documentation skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Flexibility to work onsite with a range of student ages and needs
Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality, individualized instruction based on student IEPs
• Implement behavior management plans and adapt curricula
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback
• Participate in team meetings, IEP development, and parent communications
• Engage in professional development and orientation prior to start
