School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | New Castle, Delaware
Job Description
Step into an essential role supporting students both in school and at home. This contract opportunity is ideal for an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) who holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and a current Delaware SLP license. You'll make a significant impact by working directly with students in a school building as well as providing crucial services to those who are medically homebound.
The position spans the academic year, starting August 25, 2026 and ending June 8, 2027. Flexible scheduling is available—whether you prefer part-time or full-time hours, your commitment will be valued. You'll generally work Monday through Friday for up to 37.5 hours per week.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Delaware Speech Language Pathology license (required for consideration)
- SLP-CCC credentials
- Experience with school-based SLP services
- Comfort with both onsite and homebound service models
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy to students within a school setting
- Deliver services to students who require homebound instruction as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support individual student needs
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs
- Maintain accurate and timely records
- Adapt approaches in response to fluctuating caseloads throughout the academic year
