Qualifications:
- Hold an active California Physical Therapist License
- Previous experience in a school-based environment is preferred, though not required
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and support staff
- Commitment to supporting students with diverse physical and developmental needs
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized physical therapy plans for students
- Deliver direct therapy services in accordance with each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP)
- Collaborate with educational teams and participate in IEP meetings to support student success
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of evaluations, progress, and service delivery
- Educate students, staff, and families on techniques to support mobility, strength, and independence
- Adapt interventions and strategies to meet the unique needs of each student within the educational environment
