Step into a pivotal role supporting K-12 students across multiple school sites as a School Psychologist working part-time, 29 hours per week. This contract opportunity begins with a couple of engaging professional development days on July 27, 2026, followed by the academic year through May 24, 2027. The district is eager to connect with qualified professionals—interviews will take place quickly, starting July 22.

As a vital member of a multidisciplinary team, you will:

  • Conduct educational assessments to identify students’ academic, behavioral, and social/emotional needs.
  • Prepare thorough, timely written evaluation reports.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, principals, and other professionals.
  • Guide families toward community resources as needed.
  • Communicate complex assessment results clearly and sensitively to diverse audiences.
  • Maintain accurate case records, reports, and documentation for program accountability.
  • Participate in planning appropriate interventions and programs for individual students.
  • Attend and contribute to staff and parent in-service trainings.
  • Ensure compliance with IDEA and district standards.
  • Balance on-site responsibilities with possible opportunities for a hybrid schedule.

Ideal candidates will bring:

  • Active LA DOE certification in School Psychology.
  • Previous experience in comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and report writing.
  • In-depth understanding of special education eligibility and multidisciplinary evaluation team protocols.
  • Sharpened skills in administering, scoring, and interpreting a range of assessment instruments.
  • Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and time management skills.
  • Bilingual abilities—highly valued, though not required.
  • Successful completion of district background check and fingerprinting.
