LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a well?established organization in the construction industry is seeking an experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join their finance team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong GAAP knowledge, hands-on construction industry experience, and the ability to step in and immediately add value to daily and monthly accounting operations. Senior Staff Accountant (3-6 Month Contract) - Malvern, PA (Fully Onsite)
Pay Rate: $40-$48/hr Location: Malvern, PA (100% onsite) Duration: 3-6 months contract

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update client financial records
- Perform detailed account reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
- Support daily cash management functions
- Assist with the month-end close process
- Prepare and post general ledger transactions
- Track daily income and expense accruals
- Process vendor invoices and reconcile vendor accounts
- Prepare and file sales and use tax
- Generate financial statements, reports, and variance analyses
- Prepare audit schedules and documentation
- Monitor and maintain fixed assets
- Handle vendor 1099 filings
- Resolve compliance issues and maintain accounting accuracy
- Provide ad hoc reporting as needed
- Support annual budget planning and process improvements
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
- 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, including payroll and tax filing
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with construction accounting software is required
- Proven experience preparing financial statements, reconciliations, and audit documentation
- Ability to work onsite full?time and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
