Perioperative Registered Nurse (RN)


Join our team as a Perioperative Registered Nurse (RN) and play a vital role in delivering exceptional surgical patient care throughout the perioperative process. Perioperative nurses work closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure patients receive safe, effective care before, during, and after surgery. This position requires strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient advocacy in a fast-paced surgical environment.


Position Details

  • Position: Perioperative Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Job Type: Contract Assignment
  • Shift: 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM
  • Schedule: Full-Time
  • Location: Hospital-Based Assignment
  • Start Date: ASAP


Responsibilities

  • Assess patients and prepare them for surgical procedures.
  • Provide direct patient care during the perioperative period.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and patient records.
  • Ensure adherence to infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Educate patients and family members regarding procedures and post-operative care.


Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of recent perioperative or operating room experience preferred.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • ACLS preferred based on facility requirements.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
