Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $75,000 - $120,000 (Based on Experience)
A well-established multidisciplinary engineering, land surveying, and landscape architecture firm is seeking an experienced Registered Landscape Architect (RLA) to join its growing Florida team. This position is ideal for a licensed landscape architect with experience in land development, municipal engineering, permitting, entitlement processing, and site design.
The successful candidate will collaborate with civil engineers, surveyors, planners, and environmental professionals to deliver high-quality commercial, residential, and municipal projects throughout Florida.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning, design, and execution of landscape architecture projects.
Prepare conceptual and construction-level landscape plans.
Design planting layouts, hardscape elements, grading, irrigation systems, and stormwater features.
Coordinate with civil engineers, planners, surveyors, and environmental teams throughout project development.

Manage entitlement and land development processes, including:
Plat processing
Easement dedications
Right-of-way abandonments
Site plan modifications
Land development permitting

Perform site investigations and evaluate:
Existing site conditions
Topography
Environmental constraints
Soil conditions
Develop project schedules, specifications, and construction cost estimates.

Ensure compliance with:
Local regulations
State regulations
Environmental requirements
Municipal development standards
Present project designs to clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies.
Participate in public meetings and municipal coordination when required.
Support construction administration through site visits and contractor coordination.
Stay current with industry trends, sustainable design practices, and regulatory changes.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture.
Active Registered Landscape Architect (RLA) license in Florida.
Minimum 5 years of professional landscape architecture experience.

Strong knowledge of Florida environmental regulations.
Knowledge of Florida native plant materials and regional landscape standards.
Experience with sustainable site design and Low Impact Development (LID).
Valid driver's license.
Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working directly with municipalities or public-sector agencies.
Knowledge of South Florida development regulations.
Experience with green infrastructure.
LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) or SITES certification.
Civil 3D experience.
