Job Title: Litigation Attorney (Contract)
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Employment Type: Contract or contract-to-hire; direct hire may be considered for the right candidate
Pay Rate: Approximately $80-$90 per hour
LHH is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney for a contract or contract-to-hire opportunity with a well-established law firm in the Los Angeles area. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of civil litigation matters in a collaborative and supportive environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience handling defense-side civil litigation matters from inception through resolution, including motion practice, discovery, legal research, deposition preparation, and case strategy. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney seeking meaningful litigation experience with a respected firm.

Responsibilities
- Draft motions, pleadings, legal memoranda, and other litigation-related documents
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy and motion practice
- Manage all phases of discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery
- Prepare for and assist with depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation
- Review and analyze case records, documents, and evidence
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members regarding case updates and litigation strategy
- Maintain organized case files and meet court and client deadlines
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to effectively manage litigation matters
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active California Bar license in good standing
- Minimum 3 years of litigation experience
- Strong understanding of civil procedure and deposition strategy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience handling defense-side civil litigation matters is preferred.
- Attorneys with backgrounds in complex commercial litigation, employment law, medical malpractice, insurance defense, or similar practice areas will be considered
