Mail Order Supervisor Pharmacist - Lamont, California

A full-time Pharmacy Supervisor role is available in an animal health compounding pharmacy setting located in Bakersfield, CA. This onsite position offers a Monday through Friday schedule, 8:15 AM to 5:15 PM, with a competitive base salary ranging from $160,000 to $185,000 plus bonus, based on experience. Eligible candidates will also have access to benefits.

This position is responsible for leading a team of pharmacists dedicated to producing high-quality compounded preparations. The Pharmacy Supervisor will oversee daily operations, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and quality standards. This role focuses on driving continuous improvement, supporting compliance, and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and develop pharmacy staff, setting clear productivity and quality expectations
• Oversee daily compounding operations and workflow efficiency
• Ensure compliance with USP <795>, <797>, <800>, State Board regulations, and 503A requirements
• Maintain accurate training documentation and proper compounding procedures
• Assist with drug selection for compounded and dispensed preparations
• Identify process or formulation improvements to enhance pharmacy operations
• Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional departments as needed
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold all company policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications:

• Current California Pharmacist license in good standing
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited school
• Minimum 2 years of pharmacy management experience, preferably in a lab or compounding setting
• 2 to 5 years of compounding experience with strong knowledge of USP chapters and state regulations
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and mentoring abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
