You’ll be at the heart of a welcoming school community, guiding either elementary (K-5th) or secondary (6-12th) students through Life Skills (RISE) classes. These classes are designed for small groups of students with significant support needs, ensuring your impact is direct and meaningful.

Your workday runs from 8:00am to 4:00pm, totaling 37.5 hours per week, allowing for healthy work-life balance while providing consistency for your students. This position, running from August 11th through May 25th, is ideal for educators who thrive in collaborative environments and value structured schedules.

What you’ll bring:

  • Valid Special Education certification plus applicable core content area certification
  • Experience working with K-12 students, particularly those with significant support needs
  • Compassion, creativity, and adaptability in lesson planning and instruction
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with families, teachers, and specialists
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

Your responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized lesson plans for Life Skills (RISE) classes
  • Modify curriculum to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Assess student progress, documenting outcomes and adapting strategies as needed
  • Foster a positive, respectful learning environment
  • Collaborate closely with educational teams to support student success
