Special Education Teacher | Cleveland, Ohio

Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Special Education Teacher working with high school students in an engaging academic setting near Cleveland, OH. This contract role will run from August 3rd, 2026, to June 4th, 2027, with a typical full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. You’ll take on a manageable caseload of 24 students, allowing you to create personalized interventions and truly support each individual’s growth and success.

Qualifications:

• Current ODE OH K-12 Intervention Specialist credential or certification required
• Experience supporting high school-aged students with learning or developmental challenges preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
• Capacity to design and implement individual education plans (IEPs)
• Enthusiasm for fostering an inclusive, positive classroom environment

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to high school students in accordance with IEP goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to modify curriculum and differentiate instruction
• Maintain accurate records and document student progress regularly
• Communicate effectively with families, celebrating student achievements and addressing concerns
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives
