What we're seeking:
- Current and active Connecticut SLP-CCC license (required)
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Knowledge of assessment tools and intervention strategies tailored to PreK-8 populations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Compassionate approach to supporting students with diverse needs
- Ability to collaborate effectively with families, faculty, and interdisciplinary teams
Primary responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language services to students on assigned caseload
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Implement evidence-based therapy interventions in accordance with student goals
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and other school staff to facilitate carryover and maximize student progress
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports as required by state and district guidelines
- Participate in team meetings, IEP conferences, and family consultations
