Key qualifications and experience:

  • Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
  • Proven experience with psychological assessments, intervention planning, and counseling within a school environment
  • Proficiency with developing and implementing IEPs and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Clear communication skills to engage effectively with students, families, and staff
  • Ability to cultivate a supportive and understanding atmosphere for students with diverse needs

Core responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations, including cognitive, academic, behavioral, and social/emotional assessments
  • Partner with educators, administrators, and families to interpret assessment data and recommend strategies for student success
  • Develop, monitor, and review Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students requiring services
  • Deliver direct and consultative psychological services, such as counseling or behavioral interventions
  • Promote a positive school climate by offering expertise in crisis response, behavioral supports, and student advocacy
  • Document and maintain confidential records in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
