This contract position runs from August 10, 2026, to May 25, 2027, offering full-time hours (35 hours per week) with a manageable caseload and a clear focus on student growth and support.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Educator Certification
• National Certification for Teachers of the Visually Impaired
• Previous experience with K-8 students preferred
• Ability to adapt instruction for visual impairments and collaborate across educational teams
• District background check, fingerprinting, and completion of required forms (time-sensitive)
• Flexible, organized, and able to manage travel within school clusters

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to students with visual impairments in elementary and middle school settings
• Provide direct and consultative services tailored to individual student needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to modify curriculum and ensure accessibility
• Assess, monitor, and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
• Support transition planning as students progress through grade levels
• Serve as a resource for staff and families on visual impairment best practices and accommodations
