Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Previous experience working within K-12 public, private, or charter schools is a plus
  • Solid understanding of IEP processes and familiarity with school-based documentation
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage students, families, and staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders in students
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families
  • Monitor students’ progress and maintain clear documentation in compliance with school guidelines
  • Offer direct and consultative therapy for students both individually and in small groups
  • Participate in student support and multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Provide guidance and training to school personnel and families to promote effective communication strategies
