Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years MRI experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Exciting opportunity available for a skilled MRI Technologist with expertise in magnetic resonance imaging. This contract position calls for a motivated professional who will support a busy imaging department, ensuring the highest standard of patient care and technical excellence.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT-MR or equivalent)
  • Valid and active MRI Technologist license
  • Demonstrated experience performing MRI procedures independently
  • Familiarity with MRI safety protocols and proper patient positioning
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other medical staff
  • BLS certification preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Safely and efficiently operate MRI equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images
  • Review physician imaging orders and confirm patient identity and procedure details
  • Educate and prepare patients for MRI exams, addressing questions and concerns
  • Position patients for comfort and accurate imaging; monitor patients during procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all infection control protocols
  • Collaborate with radiologists to ensure timely and accurate delivery of images
  • Document imaging procedures in electronic medical records
  • Adhere to departmental policies and safety guidelines, including the proper handling and disposal of materials
  • Troubleshoot minor technical issues and report equipment malfunctions as needed
