Special Education Teacher - Bethlehem, Pennsylvania

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate required by start date (emergency permits may be sponsored through HR)
• Previous experience teaching Special Education preferred
• Ability to provide support tailored to students' individual needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school personnel
• Enthusiastic commitment to cultivating an equitable, encouraging learning environment

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction for students in either Autistic Support (elementary) or Learning Support (middle and high school)
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Deliver instruction aligned with state standards and adapted to meet the diverse needs of learners
• document progress, maintain compliance records, and communicate regularly with stakeholders
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school activities
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to foster student growth

Assignment Information:

• 35 hours per week from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027
• Elementary Schedule: 8:15am – 3:45pm; Middle School: 7:15am – 2:45pm; High School: 7:13am – 2:43pm
• Six total positions: 1 Autistic Support teacher (elementary), 1 Learning Support teacher (middle school), 4 Learning Support teachers (high school)
