Special Education Teacher - Splendora, Texas

Ideal candidates have previous experience supporting students with disabilities in a school setting. Those holding a dyslexia certification are highly preferred; however, candidates with a current Special Education certification will also be considered. Please note, if training for dyslexia support is required, attendance is expected but additional compensation will not be provided, as this valuable certification is fully portable for your future career growth.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification required
• Dyslexia certification preferred, or willingness to undergo training (without paid training time)
• Experience working with students with disabilities, ideally in a K-12 school environment
• Strong skills in differentiated instruction, IEP implementation, and written/verbal communication
• Willingness to collaborate with faculty, parents, and support staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small group instruction for students with special needs, including those with dyslexia
• Assess students and develop tailored educational plans
• Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to maximize student achievement
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEP meetings
• Cultivate an inclusive, supportive classroom atmosphere
