Special Education Teacher - Warwick, RI

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification
• Demonstrated experience or strong interest in working with middle or high school students
• Solid understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Ability to collaborate effectively with general education staff, specialists, and families
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Adaptability and empathy for diverse student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction in accordance with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Assess educational, behavioral, and developmental needs, and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student growth and participation
• Collaborate with colleagues, families, and other professionals to develop and implement effective support plans
• Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate and timely records
• Participate in IEP meetings and other professional meetings as required
• Uphold district policies and current special education regulations
