This full-time contract position offers the chance to work across three vibrant schools, serving 5th grade and older students near Arab, AL. You’ll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships, foster communication skills, and provide vital support to a diverse caseload of approximately 90 students, with a primary responsibility of case-managing around 30.
Key Qualifications:
- SLP-CCC certification (required)
- Experience working in school-based settings preferred
- Strong skills in communication, collaboration, and report writing
- Ability to connect with students grade 5 and above
- Organizational skills to manage a moderate-to-large caseload
- Adaptability and willingness to engage with multiple school teams
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic services for students with a range of speech and language needs
- Manage IEP development and implementation for approximately 30 students
- Collaborate closely with special education teams, parents, and administrators across three schools
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and manage required documentation
- Provide consultative support to teachers and other staff to foster student success in the classroom
- Participate in relevant meetings and contribute insights for best student outcomes
