Desired Skills & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Washington State (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in a school-based OT setting is highly desired
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, parents, and school staff
- Creative problem-solving skills and adaptability
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ functional abilities, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide direct therapy services
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to goal setting and progress monitoring in alignment with educational objectives
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic support for each student
- Maintain accurate and timely records of assessments, therapy notes, and ongoing progress
- Offer training, resources, and recommendations to teachers and caregivers for classroom and home-based support
- Support the transition of students between grade levels or special programs as needed
