Job Description

This full-time position covers a maternity leave from mid-August through the end of October, allowing you to make a real difference in students’ daily lives while gaining valuable school-based experience.

Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in Virginia
- Previous experience within a school setting highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes, documentation, and compliance
- Comfort working with students across the K-12 spectrum
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to changing schedules and priorities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students’ occupational therapy needs
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans aligned with educational goals
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to maximize student engagement
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation per federal, state, and district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to a positive multidisciplinary team environment
- Provide training and resources for staff to support classroom success
