An exciting opportunity is now available for a dedicated Occupational Therapist ready to make a meaningful impact in a supportive educational environment. This contract position supports students in grades 8-12 (ages 13-21) and offers the chance to shape the future for young adults while collaborating with a passionate multidisciplinary team.

Start date is ASAP, and you’ll be providing direct services for approximately 15-17 hours weekly, in addition to valuable consultative support for the school team. This school operates year-round, so you’ll enjoy consistent engagement and a unique setting to hone your skills. Wednesdays offer a balanced schedule—students attend for a half day, freeing your afternoon for documentation, team meetings, and dedicated planning time without classroom interruptions.

Position Highlights & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy (OT) licensure and prior experience working in a school setting or with adolescents preferred
  • Experience or strong interest in supporting students with a range of abilities, including those requiring accommodations for participation and learning
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, to collaborate with students, teachers, and families
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • Comfortable participating in onsite interviews and thoroughly engaging with the school environment before starting

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group OT services to students, promoting independence and progress towards IEP goals
  • Collaborate effectively with educators, related service providers, and families to support student achievement
  • Complete assessments, maintain documentation, and attend meetings as needed
  • Provide consultative services to help staff integrate occupational therapy strategies throughout the school day
