Exciting opportunities await passionate Special Education Teachers seeking a full-time, contract position for the 2026-2027 school year! This onsite role offers four openings in a supportive educational environment near West Chester, PA, across middle and high school levels. High school opportunities include concentrations in Science, Math, and Social Studies.

As a member of the teaching staff, you will demonstrate mastery in your subject area and instructional methods while developing engaging lesson plans aligned with state and district standards. Your expertise will support students through differentiated instruction and ongoing formative assessment. Each role requires strong classroom and behavioral management skills in an urban educational setting, ensuring all students thrive.

Requirements and Desired Experience:

  • Valid special education certification/licensure for assigned caseload
  • Bachelor’s degree required (necessary for emergency teaching permit)
  • Prior school experience in a similar setting
  • Demonstrated proficiency with instructional resources and curriculum standards
  • Experience working in urban school environments
  • Strong classroom management and student engagement abilities
  • Ability to complete all Pennsylvania clearances
  • Reliable transportation
  • Comfort working within onsite district and location parameters
  • Availability for hours as assigned for middle or high school positions (see specific times above)
  • No accommodations for alternate work schedules

Responsibilities:

  • Create and deliver lesson plans following approved curriculum and standards
  • Adapt instruction to meet individual student needs
  • Foster a safe, inclusive classroom climate
  • Engage in ongoing assessment and adjust strategies accordingly

  • Participate in professional development and training as needed

This position runs from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027, at 35 hours per week, with interviews conducted via Zoom.
