Step into an impactful role delivering vital physical therapy services to students across a vibrant school community. As a dedicated Physical Therapist, you’ll have the opportunity to work with K-12 pupils (including some Pre-K students), helping them develop mobility and achieve educational success. This full-time, contract position begins August 10, 2026 and extends through May 28, 2027, offering a consistent Monday–Friday daytime schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.

You’ll collaborate with another Physical Therapist and a PTA to efficiently serve about 94 students across multiple sites, typically working at two to three schools daily within the district. Services include both direct therapeutic interventions and indirect support, giving you the chance to make a meaningful difference in each student’s progress.

Desired Background and Qualifications:

  • Active Florida Physical Therapy license required
  • Previous school-based PT experience is strongly preferred but not required
  • Expertise working with children and adolescents (Kindergarten through 12th grade, with some Pre-K)
  • Ability to manage itinerant caseloads and adapt to various school environments
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills to engage with educators, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver physical therapy services in accordance with IEP goals
  • Provide direct and consultation-based therapy
  • Document services, progress, and recommendations in compliance with district policies
  • Participate in meetings and serve as a resource to staff and families
  • Travel between assigned schools to provide day-to-day coverage
