Overview

Responsibilities

Document patient data accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) software

Collect and process specimens, including blood draws and specimen labeling for send-out

Take patient histories and vital signs, perform triage duties, and assist during patient exams

Administer injections, medications, eye and ear irrigations, and perform wound dressings or incisions

Operate basic medical equipment such as x-ray machines, EKGs, and spirometers

Prepare exam and treatment rooms between patient visits and after daily operations

Maintain supplies, instruments, and equipment, including sterile techniques and sterilization procedures

Perform administrative duties as needed to support office operations

Complete any other duties assigned by the clinical team to ensure smooth workflow

Required Skills

Minimum of two years of clinical experience as a Medical Assistant

CPR/BLS certification required

Proficiency in EMR software documentation

Ability to perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and basic clinical procedures

Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment

Additional Skills & Requirements

Medical Assistant certification is required

Experience performing basic x-rays, EKGs, and utilizing medical equipment is preferred

Reliability to work the scheduled hours: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a one-hour lunch

Must be vaccinated for Covid-19 or willing to get vaccinated (preferred but not mandatory)

Background check and fingerprinting are required prior to start

Physically capable of performing clinical duties, including specimen collection and patient management
