\n*Optometrist Responsibilities*\n
\n
\n* Performing comprehensive eye exams.\n
\n* Diagnosing and assisting in the treatment of ocular disease.\n
\n* Prescribing corrective lenses or eye medications as needed.\n
\n* Providing pre and post-operative care to surgical patients.\n
\n* Promoting healthy vision by counseling and educating patients.\n
\n
\n*Optometrist Requirements*\n
\n
\n* Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree and active state license.\n
\n* Ability to communicate with a wide range of patient personalities.\n
\n* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.\n
\n* A strong sense of workplace professionalism and personal ethics.\n
\n* Customer-service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills.\n
\n
\n*General Information *\n
\n
\n* 7-8 hours visiting patients plus paperwork.\n
\n* Schedule: Monday-Friday (typically 9:00AM-5:00PM). Flexible schedules also available.\n
\n* 22-25 patients per visit, preventative care\n
\n* *Part Time Compensation*: $45.00 per patient or 35%-40% of collections ($1100 -$1250 per visit).\n
