Role Overview:
Insight Global is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Contract Material Handler to support our client's manufacturing operations by ensuring accurate and timely movement of materials throughout the facility. This role is fast-paced and requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, comfortable with technology, and able to work independently while supporting a team environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Pick, stage, and deliver materials to production areas.
- Receive, stock, replenish, and organize inventory.
- Accurately scan, transact, and track inventory movements using warehouse systems.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other approved material handling equipment.
- Perform inventory counts and investigate discrepancies.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Prioritize work to meet production schedules and customer demand.
- Communicate effectively with production, planning, receiving, and warehouse personnel.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new software.
- Ability to learn and use SAP, MES, and handheld scanning devices.
- Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to follow written procedures and work instructions.
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for the majority of a 10-hour shift.
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and stooping.
- Ability to move pallets and carts using a manual pallet jack.
- Ability to safely perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or material handling experience.
- Experience using SAP, MES, RF scanners, or other inventory management systems.
- Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment (medical device, pharmaceutical, or similar)
